FLYNN'S EXPERIENCES Private Sausage-Making Workshop

A hands-on private workshop for up to four people — £175 per group

Spend around three hours learning how to make sausages properly, from preparing and seasoning the meat through to filling and linking the finished sausages.

Led by a member of the Flynn’s kitchen team with practical sausage-making experience, you’ll make two contrasting styles: a fresh cooking chorizo with bold Spanish-inspired seasoning and a classic British banger.

This is a genuinely hands-on workshop. You’ll work with the equipment and ingredients yourself while being guided through each stage of the process.

What you’ll learn

• Which cuts of meat and ratios of fat produce the best texture
• How to prepare and mince meat safely and consistently
• How temperature affects the finished sausage
• How to balance salt, spices, herbs and other seasonings
• The difference between the seasoning and texture of chorizo and British sausages
• How to prepare and work with natural casings
• How to fill sausages without trapping air or splitting the casing
• How to portion and link sausages by hand
• How to rest, store, freeze and cook fresh sausages properly
• How to adapt the basic method to create your own flavours at home

You’ll make both varieties during the workshop and take home a share of the fresh sausages produced, along with the recipes and knowledge needed to make them again.

This is a relaxed and practical private experience for couples, friends and enthusiastic home cooks. The price covers the complete workshop for up to four people rather than being charged per person.
