Crafted from old-vine Malbec grown on the sun-drenched 2nd and 3rd terraces of the Lot Valley, Cuvée X is a bold yet beautifully refined Cahors with serious pedigree. These 30–45-year-old vines yield concentrated fruit, grown in gravelly, clay-rich soils laced with limestone—ideal for Malbec’s full expression.
Harvested entirely by hand and vinified traditionally, the wine undergoes a 30-day maceration before spending 24 months in new French oak barrels from Allier. The result is a wine of great structure, richness and finesse. It opens with a generous, fruit-forward attack, giving way to a full and rounded palate with plush texture, soft tannins, and a long, elegant finish. Expect flavours of dark berries, spice, and subtle oak sweetness, all beautifully integrated.
Decanting in its youth allows this wine to shine early, though it promises graceful ageing for years to come.
