CALMEL & JOSEPH Pomone Orange Wine 2022 75cl
A bright orange-gold orange wine from Calmel & Joseph’s Amstramgram range, made from Roussanne, Marsanne and Terret Gris. Fresh and delicate on the nose, it brings notes of quince, bitter orange, papaya, pear and mandarin, with a lightly mineral finish.
On the palate it is zesty, smooth and not overly tannic, with preserved citrus, quince, a hint of plum and a savoury spice finish of paprika, saffron and coriander. A proper gastronomic orange wine, made for food: try with spiced dishes, roast vegetables, richer fish, poultry, cheese or anything with citrus and herbs.

Grapes: Roussanne 40%, Marsanne 30%, Terret Gris 30%.
Alcohol: 13% ABV.
Farming: Agriculture Biologique.
Terroir: Limestone clay.
Vinification: Roussanne and Marsanne were destemmed and vinified together, with fermentation and maceration lasting around one month. Terret Gris was fermented in whole bunches for one month before blending. No sulphites were added at any stage, from vineyard to bottling.
