A southern French red from Saint-Chinian in the Languedoc-Roussillon, made from a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan. Deep, ripe and savoury, with notes of cherry, plum, dark fruit, gentle spice and a lightly earthy, smoky edge.
This is very much food wine: lovely with beef, veal, roast lamb, sausages, tomato-rich pasta, stews, grilled vegetables or a proper cheeseboard. Full enough to feel generous, but with enough freshness and tannin to keep everything balanced.
